Football is in the air.

Media was back at 49ers' practice and there was some awesome sights and sounds that came away from practice.

Jason Verrett ready to take sole ownership of the CB1 role during his 2nd year with the 49ers. The new number looks cold as well.

Former first time assistant coach turned defensive coordinator spoke to the media and provide some insight for what he envisions his defense looks like.

The main topic of discussion for the remainder of the offseason will likely revolve around the QB room. All eyes will be on Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance.

From everything we have seen and heard, Garoppolo won't go down without a fight.

Training Camp Nears

There may not be very many opportunities to see these players before mandatory mini-camp begins in a few weeks.

It's hard to take much away from the media availabilities as the practices as more of a walk-through style. It will start to get interesting once the squad pulls the pads out and contact picks back up.
