Source: 49ers OL Justin Skule Has Torn ACL

Brad Graham • June 8, 2021

And just like that, the 49ers have suffered two major injuries from OTAs.

A source has confirmed that Justin Skule has indeed tore his ACL which was first reported by 49ers.focus on Instagram.

This is now the 2nd injury to come out of the teams organized team activities with one week remaining of practices. RB Jeff Wilson recently suffered a torn meniscus and now the 24 year old tackle has suffered a torn ACL and will likely miss the entirety of the 2021 NFL season.

Skule has started 12 games over his first two season and has been a valuable depth piece since being drafted out of Vanderbilt in 2019. This injury will put added pressure on the rookie OL draft selections Aaron Banks and Jaylon Moore to fill a more immediate depth role.

Unfortunate news early out of the 49ers practice facilities but hopefully this is a trend the team can curve early this season.
