Trey Lance looked sharp after settling in after INT.
49ers rookie QB Trey Lance didn't necessarily have the opening drives that he would have liked to have, one having led to an interception. However, once Lance was able to settle in, he began to dice up the Chargers defense.
Lance finished the last three drives against the Chargers 7 of 9 on passing, throwing 2 TDs. One of the TD's came before the half in a two-minute drill situation that Lance excelled in. The young signal-caller moved the ball down the field efficiently and effectively, capping it off with a dart to Mohamed Sanu Sr. for 6 points.
We also saw a glimpse of Trey Lance's running ability, running it in on a two-point conversation that was called back on a holding penalty. He also had another nice scramble, showcasing he elite athleticism.
Through two preseason games, Trey Lance is the most accurate rookie QB when targeting past the sticks at a 64.3% (via PFF).
