Dante Pettis was supposed to be the next great WR for the San Francisco 49ers after a fantastic rookie campaign. Pettis went from what looked to be an absolute hit in the draft to not dressing for the Super Bowl in less than a calendar year.
WOW!! Dante Pettis is a keeper, enough said~

I think it's fair to wonder how Kyle Shanahan builds up his players on the offensive side of the ball. It seems more often than not, players tend to regress due to confidence issue under the third year HC.
Other players that come to mind who have seemingly regressed under Kyle Shanahan due to perceived confidence issues:
- Jimmy Garoppolo
- Trent Taylor
- Dante Pettis
- Mike McGlinchey
- Tevin Coleman
- Ahkello Witherspoon
Having emotional intelligence is crucial in today's society, hopefully these trends are outliers and don't paint the true story.
Only time will tell.
