New Front Office Hire For The 49ers

Brad Graham • June 24, 2021

The team adds a heavy hitter to the staff.

It appears the 49ers made a strong move to snag the New York Giants VP of Communications, Corry Rush.

Rush has been working in the NFL since 2005 when he broke into the league with the Tennessee Titans working in Media Relations. After a two year stint with the Titans, Rush moved onto a job with the NFL for 7 years.

Rush found himself back on the team side of the tracks when he began working for the NY Giants as Director of Public Relations in 2014. Corry was promoted two years into the job and became the Vice President of Communications for the New York Giants.

The report states that Rush is heading to the 49ers in a bigger role so maybe a president title is headed for the new media wiz.

It appears that Rush was well respected by the NY Media. An example shown above by a beat reporter for the Giants over the last 23 years shows the respect the media had for Rush.

We have heard that the NY media could be an aggressive bunch so it's great to see that Rush is leaving on good terms and is clearly respected by his peers, from first glance of this news dropping.

I will follow up once his official role is released.
