(Jimmie Ward reacts to Tom Brady rumors on IG Live)
Rumors have swirled around the 49ers like clockwork since the season has come to an end after a heart breaking loss to the Rams in the NFC Championship. Since that moment, all anyone is trying to discern is who will be the 49ers starting QB in 2022.
The answer may seem easy to some as they believe the 49ers would turn to their 2nd-year signal caller Trey Lance who they spent an exorbitant amount of draft capital on to acquire. Many believe the impending trade of Jimmy Garoppolo could be announced any day, which would have you think Trey Lance is a lock to start right?
The media has had different plans:
I said last week that I think Tom Brady will play for the 49ers in 2022. Some people were very surprised by the possibility. They shouldn't have been. https://t.co/DeYy4YokiC

Ward was asked about the potential of Tom Brady playing for the 49ers and he didn't have definitive answer one way or the other.
However, he mentioned that he thinks this situation surrounding Tom Brady is a media creation, similar to the situation surrounding Kobe Bryant when he retired from the Lakers and the media was pushing for him to return to the team to play with LeBron James.
It seems that Ward believes Brady is done for real but as we know, only time can truly tell.
